  • if some kind of charges aren't pressed, the public's faith in the ability of the police force to safeguard us and police themselves will be destroyed.

not so. for example, that guy a while ago. haha sorry, brain fails me, but i have excuse that i wasn't alive. assaulted by predecessor to TSG and died and no one charged. public doesn't give a fuck. half the people are fucking asleep.

  • you mean Blair Peach

    [ame]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blair_Peach[/ame]

killed by the Special Patrol Group who then became the TSG.

On a side note, the Space Hijackers and I have all been charged with impersonating police officers.

    http://www.thelondonpaper.com/thelondonpaper/news/london/news/activists-drove-tank-to-g20-protests

which is of course an absolute joke.

  • yes but the climate's a bit different now. besides, the guardian is still running their pigs hate campaign at the moment.

  • Shit thats bullshit dude, so much for free fucking speech in this country, and the right to protest. There were so many breaches of the law by the "so called" coppers present at this protest it was ridiculous, if me or you smash an innocent person round the face with a weapon its assault, if a copper does it they claim they are "doing their job".
What I want to know is what the people policing the police are going to do about it, because right now it seems a big fat fuck all.

  • yes but the climate's a bit different now. besides, the guardian is still running their pigs hate campaign at the moment.

and what is wrong with that? i think public distrust in those in positions of authority is healthy for democracy. accepting the status quo only leads to situations where no police have ever been found guilty of murder/manslaughter. killing an innocent brazillian? fine. killing an innocent passer by? fine. killing a protester? fine. those in the police (especially the young) are on the whole a bunch of twats.

what is really fucking irritating is this as well http://www.worthingherald.co.uk/worthing/BREAKING-NEWS-Police-gave-CPS.4741152.jp

why the fuck do the police act above the law all the time? if i was in the slightest way patriotic i think i would be more pissed off the way they are fucking things over for every one. great british values is revisionist history.

  • also see Kevin Gately - killed by a blow to the head from mounted police

  • Alas we can't really comment on it at the mo. However we've a meeting with our lawyers tomorrow, after which we hope to make a statement, and begin the process of making the whole charge seem a farce.

Thought the 'tank' was crazy (and brilliant) but i never worked out if you folks were spreading any specific message/protest? Was it just anti-police?

oh. nothing's wrong with that at all... see my previous posts on this thread (and, uhm, my "all cops are bastards" tattoo).

  • oh ok, sorry i misunderstood. are you the teddy who briefed me on sunday? offered you money for volunteer tee..

  • ah sweet. you have an awesome accent.

    from the report:

“I feel the treatment I received by the police officers was unnecessary,
disproportionate and inhumane. I feel violated. The police used excessive
force against me causing me to suffer bruises, swellings, and potentially a
miscarriage. I will probably never know or be able to prove that I was pregnant
but I feel very distressed that this may have happened. “
