think thats about the same I paid for mine so that is good, especially as you can just pop in and buy them. No waiting about...

I don't really care, I'm all about the low flange, for the comfy win.

My hubs piss all over those Goldtecs

I have 2 rigs running on Gran Compes, no complaints, done 2k + on one set so far all conditions no probs
-

If you are planning on paying to get them built up onto new rims them BETD do a great deal, they won't charge you for spokes (mine are DT swiss double butted) or build (which they do a good job of). I found them to be pretty decent to deal with. Probably work out just as much/cheaper than paying for spokes and build on a cheaper hub.

1st Goldtec
2nd Miche = Gran Compe- mudderfunking 1000
Ok... best prices I've found so far are the Goldtecs at around £120 pair, the Miche at £65 and the Gran Compes at £85 (although out of stock). I'd prefer chrome/silver really so that doesn't bode well with the Goldtecs, but if they really are worth twice the price of the Miche then I'd consider.
Further thoughts welcome...
Yes Goldtecs piss all over Miche and Gran Compes, stronger hub shell, better quality bearings, really tough and fast :)
i cant remember how much mine were... £130/£140 a pair or something like that.
For standard ones ^ or £240-250 for the ones with super duper ceramic bearing jobbies.

What's this? (last attatched pic in GA2G's thread)
You are all miserably wrong, that's a Zodiac Engineering high flange track hub - http://www.myspace.com/zodiaceng
Their website is down at the moment but if I recall correctly it's a guy from California who works in aerospace engineering. Last I checked he didn't do any rears, just fronts... Zodiac is more aimed at BMX stuff but seems to be branching out. -

Yo danny,
all depends really on how much you want to spend... dps arent exactly cheap either but a nice rim all the same. I'd go for DA if i were you. Large flange very elegant looking, and they roll for ever. Ive had my DAs for about a year... the hubs have been in the serpentine lake. Ive never repacked them and theres not one funny vibration or bubbly skippy movement in the bearings.
but if you are gonna by twice id go for a standard system x hub and trade it out when funds are abit better... i've still got a pair from my first build they got converted to polo wheels and theyre still real good.

or iros own which is basically the same pop by cavendish cycles they have them there.Shins

Hmmm still not sure... I popped in to 14 today to get a closer look at the Goldtecs... they are pretty miserable looking fellas. Tempted by the DA but from what I've read, no longer readily available.
Leaning towards the Grand Compes at the moment.. just waiting to hear back about stock of shiny silver versions.
Also contacted MACK, no response yet... anyone know how much these go for?

can anyone recommend 28h f&r hubs besides campy?
haha.... no.
you can just about grab their attention if you go in there and shout at them.
i don't think they do phones or internetz.... apparently they've got a website on the way.
nice guys though... if they don't have the colour you want i'm sure they would get it sorted ASAP.
