Right, I'm after some advice if you will...

Deciding on hubs for a new build, (probably) going to be laced to Rigida dp18s...

Miche vs Gran Compe vs Goldtec

I know there's been some previous discussion on their merits but I'm looking for some fresh views and experiences please, I'm all ears...

1st Goldtec
2nd Miche = Gran Compe

Ok... best prices I've found so far are the Goldtecs at around £120 pair, the Miche at £65 and the Gran Compes at £85 (although out of stock). I'd prefer chrome/silver really so that doesn't bode well with the Goldtecs, but if they really are worth twice the price of the Miche then I'd consider.

Further thoughts welcome...

Goldtecs are great hubs. They will do them in any colour you want if you pay and wait a while. I got some done in orange.

Im considering some gran compe's at the moment, anyone got a review?

I would prefer goldtecs most of all but they are out of my price range. Plus I have the advantage of possibly getting gran compes at trade.

Mine took about a month but think it just depends when they have a batch ready to go to get anodised. I'd just missed a batch going off so if you timed it ok then not long probably.

These built up on to silver H+Sons got stolen recently just to really piss me off.

I have. Still sitting in my jig half built though so no review as yet.

You gonna custom paint them Dov? Have heard your reverse anodizing technique is almost perfect...

I would but all the inverse shims on my paint nozzle have broken so I'm back to doing normal work.
