  • people, stop with so much take-aways!!! HTFU with cooking!

  • chicken liver and mushroom risotto.

  • Pickled or soaked? Eww. Who do you take me for? Fresh, locally sourced (about quarter of a mile away?) beetroot grated into stock and slowly transfered into the rice. Then some mascarpone, butter and parmesan melted into the mix, dollop of extra mascarpone on top and a bit of dill = WIN:

Balki, I'm disappointed in you. And if your arse looks like that, deeply worried.

Could be if you stick a bit of horseradish & Thmye or dare i say finely shredded ginger & parsley in there, and use fresh roasted beets not pickled of soaked. fk all flavour.
roast them with the thyme and add at the end and you are laughing (between mouthfuls as we are not chavs)

  • chicken liver and mushroom risotto.

  • All very pretty, lads and lasses, but sometime it's more about fuel than flavour. :-)

As typical as it gets... in the end it´s not that much, it takes u like 20min to prepare that, and it´s better than most of iceland ready meals u might consider just out of lazyness....

  • I also take a lot of pics of my food.

    Sainsbury´s

  • beetroot turns your shit red, that's just not on, avoid it like the plague.

  • Asparagus also makes your pee smell really wierd.

  • you're giving me a weird idea here, beetroot and asparagus risotto

  • poo and pee talk on the food thread?

  • All very pretty, lads and lasses, but sometime it's more about fuel than flavour. :-)

Is that stovies? What kind of a vegetarian are you?

  • The sort that thinks chorizo is a Spanish vegetable. :-) Stovies are definitely off-limits. That was mashed potato, turnip, vegetarian haggis and broccoli (cos the plate was crying out for something green.)

The haggis was magic: really spicy and loads of bite. Three quid from Roots & Fruits and worth getting one for the flavour alone. But you get an added bonus for your money - the spectacle of watching the filling ooze out through the skin when you make the first cut. It practically turned itself inside out.

Roots and Fruits? Pah, west-end ponce :)

I should try a veg haggis. They're usually just made with shit-loads of margarine, so should be veganish...
