I bought my girlfriend an electra beach cruiser a few months ago for her birthday, she has now got into cycling but needs something a bit easier to use around the city. She is looking to try riding fixed and and wanted me to convert something for her. A major thing is she wanted a bike that didnt have the sloping top tube like most ladies bikes, she is only about 5"1" or so and we thought it would be a prob finding a suitable bike. Long story short we called into the little bike workshop on the end of our street and found this. Got it for £20 and it is in perfect working order. I'm going to convert it to single speed tomorrow until i work out how to sort out a 24" fixed rear wheel :). I will be keeping the parts to return it to geared should the need arise. Pics of conversion tomorrow.
That's brilliant mate! The other alternative is the 650c fuji track And the IRO Mark V HD that also designed for 650c wheel for. People under 5'3, that pug is much better cheaper alternative.
if the rims is fine, just rebuild the wheel with a fixed hubs.
