Remember! when you are idle waiting for your roast dinner... you can drop by @ or around Bethnal Green to view it! Visualising takes less than minutes!

i think people are visualising the fist full of dollars they have to fork out for the frame and visualising a slightly cheaper model

Just searched for "ice-pick in head" and found this instead:
you should have searched for leon trotsky.

^ That's a very good likeness...

They wouldn't have had an x-ray of his head though:

not unless you have tried this one out :)

so do you think it would ride differently without the little NJS stamp on it?
-
• #69
Oh sir MrSmyth sir! you should know that the stamp shredded a little bit of metal away from the frame! thereforth stripping the weight of a fingernail off allowing you to go FASTER!

To be honest, i dont even know how the NJS stuff got its NJS approval by, but we all know that NJS stamped goods are not completely bollocks :)

What other frames could one purchase for £680?

bud your flogging a dead horse on here.
Personally i think you should have a second opinion on the BB as be more attractive for the sale if you can have it removed. In fairness to you others may not have been so honest and probably would have left it for the buyer to find out that the BB is ceased to the frame.
If you get the BB out the price isnt far out, Tokyo fixed and NJS exports are selling similar for more but NJS does nt go down well on here as you can see. Bin the Lo pro idea its even more impractical than a track frame and by the time you sell the Makino with all the abuse you've had and people trying to get it off you for peanuts you'll regret it.
If not Ebay your best bet. good luck with the sale.

it mean the frame is acceptable for the Kierin races, that's all.
which mean it's bollocks outside the kierin, unless you race there for a living.

i paid less than that for an unused Pegoretti frame (£1600 RRP)
i sold a brand new cervelo frame with warranty for less than that (£980 RRP)
you would get a new rourke/bob jackson in top end tubing for a similar amount.none of the above frames have an NJS stamp on them though, so you will not be able to race on the keirin circuit.

just a thought, wonder how many people on here who ride track frames on a daily basis have ever ridden them on a track NJS or not?
Wibble- damn you beat me by fractions of a second!
