it's an interesting article but it seems to be portraying all the medallists as fame/money hungry, which I'm not sure they were/are.
i agree that they're not fame hungry, but i think they are money hungry, and why shouldn't they be? To any sportsman who is not a footballer/ tennis player, it must be the bitterest pill to swallow after reaching the peak of your chosen sport and finding that you still have an overdraft, when even 2nd rate footballers have 6 figure incomes.
