There were supposedly a few bikes available for Merckx on the day.

It's believed that the bike in the glass box in the Brussels Metro station is not the one he actually road.

I'd be happy with any of them.

Thankyou for the info and picture.Is'nt that a magic picture.When Boardman finally "smashed" the hour on a proper track bike.It did'nt seem to have the same impact for me.
