I also have a Blackberry Javelin (work) which replaced a Curve, which in turn replaced a Pearl, adn with every iteration the battery life went down as the gadget count went up.
In my view the iPhone is a shit phone, but makes up for that by being a briliant web access tool, plus lots of the applications are handy, and mobile email is important.
My Blackberry normally lives in my bag, slowly discharging the battery, until I remember to charge it up once a week and dismess the 28 meeting reminders that it is showing by then.
