Not 'own', but 'won'. I feel vindicated in that respect.

It seems far too expensive to actually buy.

Even if the quality is slightly better than mediocre, and it offers a certain off-the-bike functionality.

And it has inspiring text on the garment labels that can make you feel like a champion on your commute.

I own two T-shirts from the Smithfield Nocturne 2007. That's it. Quite a lot of their stuff is partly made from wool, and I'm vegan.

i've had a look at the rapha website and they don't seem to sell women specific kit, or do they?
anyone know?not that i could afford rapha anyway but it would be nice to have a look.

Hi ,My Names Archi, and I....erm....I'm a Rapha Owner. Namely one pair of shorts and one cap.
As I'm not vegan I'm waiting for their leather cycling gimp range to come out, with detachable leash. It's gonna be the thing to wear in the winter!

anyone know?No womens stuff, and even the unisex stuff like t-shirts starts at medium sizes. I could have been tempted by a Leeuw Van Vlaanderen t-shirt, if only they they made them smaller...

Nah they save women's involvement for podium girl work.
On the FAQ bit of their website (which you can't copy and paste because they're bastards) they say 'we don't have a women specific range but don't worry, the men's jerseys will fit you fine!'

Just saw http://rapha.com/. Made me chuckle.

?
Works fine:
Q. Is there a women’s range of Rapha Clothing?
A. Although we currently do not have a women's specific range, many of our products are adaptable for female riders. The jerseys, both long and short sleeve and all of the accessories look great and perform equally as well on male and female cyclists.

oh. maybe it just hates me for bitching about it all the time.

I bet they do,
Shame really, as i think their stuff looks really simple and smart, would be nice to see a womans range of kit that was not covered in crappy floral graphics and that was simple clean cut design.
It angers me that all cycling gear for women is either overly girl or just plain and utilitarian would be nice to see some style.

So can you do it now or still not?
I notice that selection behaviour isn't as in normal texts, probably owing to how the page is built, but try playing around with it some and you should see how it works.

A lot of people would argue that the slightly inflated prices are merely a reflection of the superior quality and styling of their range.
They have special 'fixed' clothing, which in many ways has facilitated the growth of the 'fixie' demographic.
And their logo is in a classy script font. It's a win-win scenario, or 'victoire-victoire' as it says on the shaft of my Rapha retro-styled 'Bic Cycling Team' Bic disposable biro, a steal at £14.99.

Rapha Fixed shorts test - score 50%.
On the plus side, they look good, they do fat bastard sizes, and the shorts are still great to ride in even when completely soaked with heavy rain. Must be the fancy Shoeller fabric.
On the minus side, the padded bit isn't padded enough, and one of the leg buttons is not stitched on properly and will fall off soon. If I had paid £125 for a pair of shorts I'd bloody expect hand-sewn buttons. In fact I paid £45 for them and I still expect buttons not to fall off.
Hey.. they owe me first! Get your mitts (puntastic!) off!
