It's the bike Pharell gave to Kanye west over a year ago.

I'd also love to hear a proper explanation as to why it's 'born to fail' though. Not quite the same as saying you just don't like the look of it, so explain away.

+1 (still wouldn´t put the brooklyn here)
well good on you, sadly i have received too much eye trauma already re-viewing the Brooklyn in question just to write this: aside from the shape of tubing, shape of fork, color of fork ill-matching the color of frame, geometry, stem, wheel-build hub choice, handle-bar plugs, seat-tube collar, and massif saddle height i love it.

The forks are the exact same paint as the frame, painted at exactly the same time.
Obviously the rest is down to personal preferance so if you don't like the look, it's your call.
Out of interest, have you ever ridden one? -

somebody care to explain? please.

looks like some sort of bike intended to ride behind a car to try and break some sort of speed record. i've also heard of people pacing trains with these.
definitely not a photoshop

of all the bike I've ridden, I'd love nothing more than to own the BMW Gangsta, it's a fantastic bike to ride.
that once I get over those "oh but the frame is not a classic lugged one" nonsense.

That and the fact that it's called a fucking 'Gangsta.'
I actually like the bikes okay, but they don't appear to come in my size.

• #4594
it's a modern geometry bike, I ride a 57cm normal bike, whether I find myself comfortable on a 55cm bike.
I'm pretty sure it won't be too big or small for you once you try out a modern geo bike?
-
• #4595
I'd have to actually try one out in person, for sure. I like the look of the bike. It looks sturdy and sporty at the same time.

for all you lovers of the gansta
apologize i do for my sweeping generalization's, as no i have not ridden one yet. -
• #4597
Well, I'm not crazy about the red decals or the gold hub. And I'd prefer a different (maybe slightly longer) stem and different bars. But I don't take issue with the frame.

Then maybe you should?
Plenty of people talk shit about this and that about ALL BMW bikes...until they ride them.
To say you dislike it's geometry without riding one is pretty stupid, as the way a bike rides is down to more than simply its numbers.
I've ridden bikes where the numbers should have made it ride superbly...only to be let down when i actually ride them...and vice versa.Like i say...if you dislike it based purely on appearance then fair enough...but to dislike a bike so strongly that you've never even ridden shows a very closed minded attitude in my opinion.

ouch, there was me with my forthcoming honesty about not riding one,
closed minded i certainly am not, it is your opinion and this is your own belief, i respect that.
i will never own one but i will remember this discourse when i finally ride one. -
