I don't like sizeist comments, hence my reaction. If you misunderstood what was going on, that was all about you.
Newbies need good advisce, otherwise they will make wrong choices, and it will lead to their possibly abandoning their cycling (ss/fixed) adventure. I try to help newbies, as I prefer to see more bikes on the road, and less motorised vehicles.
If you know little about different ss/fixed bikes, that suit different people, then maybe wait till you know more, BEFORE advising?
