We have nobody in the UK as of yet, however we are diligently working to correct that little problem.
Our (Masi') parent company is Haro Bicycles and Haro is distributed in the UK via Moore-Large. We are working with them to hopefully have them distributing Masi in the near future as well. Stay tuned on that and please do not lose hope in having Masi on British shores again. Besides, if it works out, it gives me a great reason to get over to England and brin my own fixed gear along with.
Thanks for posting the question; hopefully we'll be able to get the bikes/ frames into the UK this year... that's our goal.

Tim, as you know, I'm a huge Masi fan, and even have started a controversial thread about OTP's possibly reaching the "class" of Custom bikes.
The consensus is that they're not there as yet. I did however use the Masi Speciale Fixed Ltd as one of the examples.See here:

Cheers.

Masi's new bikes page, with given weights, and auto-changing colours.

Can this thread be resurrected I wonder? We are now a quarter on from February, Haro have a good presence in the UK, surely it wouldn't be hard to get something going with Masi. The market is, I think perfect for them.
I'll have the first Speciale Fixed in Shamrock Green please... Tim, are you there..? -

Wildgoose, I've emailed Tim, but he's on holiday at the moment. Hopefully he will post on here when he's returned.

Watching the Hutchinson tires ad the other day prompted me to drop Masi an email about when they might be getting the bikes in to the UK. Here's Tim's response which I hope he doesn't mind me posting.
Well, at this point we're still trying to get the UK distributor up and running with the bikes/ frames. It's been slower than we desired, of course, but I think we're getting closer… I hope. They could possibly be there within a few months. Hopefully they will be.

Is the Speciale Commuter the first OTP 'conversion'?

I think the Salsa Casseroll beat them to it.

I'd have one of those masis if it wasnt for the cable guides. The one on the Hutchison ad is awesome. Love the checkered fork.
-
• #18
fork is just a sticker surely?
-
• #19
Its not the stock fork. Its some fat, straight blade thing.

not quite, it doesn't have a gear hanger thought and singlespeed bicycle tend to have horizontal dropout, only track bicycle have track-end (until recently that is).
-

i thought it did have a gear hanger and was basically just one of there touring frames but fixed/singlespeed

any more news on this?
I'm really keen on that orange Masi frame... -

if you want a Masi, you're going to have to order one from a shop in America and be prepared to pay the shipping and import tax. I spoke to Haro Bikes in the USA who distribute them and Moore Large in the UK who deal with Haro but they were completely unhelpful and I despite putting a lot of time into ringing them, I didn't get anywhere

That's bad news - I have a feeling they'd be extremely popular over here.
Someone knows where to get the Masi Coltello frame in europe / usa? Any online-stores?
Best.
