It was a bike shop in Normandy - best shop i have ever been to, all sorts of crazy new look stuff in there, and about 50 second hand bikes that had been traded in, mostly high end road bikes from 90's - i wanted to test ride a second hand Look 255, and they insisted on measuring me up with their Look branded computerised fitting machine, basically gave me a full cyclefit report for free, then set the bike up for me, put on pedals i wanted and let me have a half hour testride - i left them my email so if they got any track bikes in they would let me know, as my Mrs parents live nearby and can picke anything up = prices about half what you would expect out here

Yeah last week - it was in the middle of nowhere, i stumbled across it on the way back from somewhere else, basically a big warehouse
He said that they dont get much track stuff, cos it aint so popular over there, but they had a lot of nice road bikes

I speak excellent franglais - i spent 3 years living in french ski resorts, which means i can understand a lot more than i can say
France is full of bargains - if you can be bothered trawl through this site, it is Frances biggest chain of Depot Ventes, and they had some insane bargains, along with a load of crap! They will ship within France, not sure about international - This is a link to their Bicycle stock in all thier branches:
I picked this Merier up for 70 Euros, full 531, Campag record Hubs, top of the range for the day Simplex and Stronglight parts, all it needed was a new rear tire - though i am going to fuly restore it. I also got a Peugeot Mixte for the Mrs for 15 Euros, that needed a service but not much else:

One of a kind Genesis Flyer - pfffft yeah right. Also he claims the frame is 531 when in fact its 520. And £500 starting bid? Dream on...
How do you report these listings?

people like that make me feel embarrassed that my beater frame is a genesis flyer.

• #16871

I thought as much, I did see quite a lots of cheap bicycles in France, and not just cheap quality bike but beater too, a cheap bottom of the range bike says a 103 carbonite Peugeot here cost (stupidly) £50-100 to get only cost £15-20 in France, or even free.
I always go to France, but I still need to brush up my french speaking skill, a little hard to do when you're struggling with your own native language!
