Tour de France 2009

i went there for a day when i was MTB'ing near bourg st maurice.
it was very hot compared to higher up the mountains, it was rammed full of tourists, i ate a nice steak but there was no aircon in the restaurant, there is a good choice of ice cream, it was rammed full of tourists, the lake was nice but there wasn't much room between the shore and the road, it was rammed full of tourists. it's not a big place and there are some nice twisty streets rammed full of tourists.

not somewhere i could go for a week as it would bore me shitless but to watch the tour and eat ice cream? why not.

I used to have to pick up guests in Geneva when i worked in the mountains - and Annecy is so beautiful out of season, but sheeeeeite, it is *rammed full of tourists *during the summer!
