  • i was struggling for comfort on my lo pro but found these and they've been really good:

    http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/product-Raleigh-Raleigh-RNH-162-Chromed-Steel-Hi-Rise-Handlebars-8178.htm

i think they're the stoker handlebars for a tandem and had a decent rise on them without getting into BMW bar territory..

they are down as reduced due to slight surface tarnishing but mine have got a tiny bit on the underside that you can't see..

might be worth having a look for a tenner?

  • what's the point in having a lo-pro to put massive risers on it, fucking stupid

  • finally, I built my VISP track frame, because no one wanna buy this frame,
but after riding it, I chose keep it, and riding it,
it's really fair price to get.

secondly, built the Yamaguchi lo pro track frame,
waiting a long time to get it,
but wanna change the fork to 650c,
does anyone know where can I get lovely 650c threaded fork?
    thanks.

  • Fucking hell, you really do change bike more than your sock!

what's the point of having a frame that's too small for you with a foot and a half of seatpost, fucking stupid

  • fucking bitching

  • I picked up this old Klein attitude on ebay a while back, plan is to turn it into a nice lightweight singlespeed.
The paintwork was pretty scruffy so I'd planned to get it repainted in one of the nice triple tone Klein paint schemes, but when stripped the frame looks pretty nice as bare metal, maybe with some black decals.

Anyone had experience of keeping a aluminium frame shiny once its polished up to a nice sheen, I'm about halfway through getting the main tubes looking good, and its taking quite a lot of time and autosol. Was thinking to lacquer it with a rattle can, or maybe getting armourtex to do it, any recommendations welcome.

  • it's all about thinking you look cool.

(klein was posted before i hit the post button)

  • Dont respray that! Its looking good stripped to the bone!

oh my gawd my jaw hit the floor. i reaaaaaaaly want to see this up close

  • Thanks LdnGrrl, it looks better in the picture than in real life, the sunshine covers all the tiny scratches, and imperfections in the welding, but with a few more hours polishing should be looking good all over, especially if you don't get too close to it!

well is it actually too small for him? some people have very long legs in comparison to their torso so its more for comfort i would assume

Shit...he's only got one leg? shame.

armoutex and powder coat it with a clear lacquer

rattle can will flake off like no man's business.

awesome frame btw, it would be shame not to do a proper job.

as are the risers on my bike.. whatever, if you want to keep the flipped bullhorns, go nuts

+1........ bmx/high rise bars on a lo-pro look sooooooo dumb.

  • never liked Kleins, until i saw that shiny frame, very tasty

  • Found something like I'm aiming for with the Klein:

    http://www.oldklein.com/kleinit/AttitudeShiny.htm

I have carbon forks and seatpost, should I sprinkle it with anodised bits headset, seatpost clamp etc?

  • Finally got the right parts for my new frame.

  • Top marks again, Boon. You gots some nice bikes!

  • not sure I'd go for the purple hubs, maybe black hubs and chainring, but that is a sweet bike. I really like those D2s, nice work.

  • much nicer

    black chainring, purple chainring bolts

  • Boon, do you keep all the bikes you post in here? Or do you move them on to fund new purchases?

either way, the bianchi looks sweet

  • Well, just sold a surly and a wheel set to afford this frame.
As of now I just have my omega and this bianchi, no room for more.

Always wanted a Klein, those Attitudes were serious bikes. Can't tell the vintage of yours (it's not one of the old 1 1/4" headsets is it?!) but looks great. Surely for period looks on a polished frame, it should be covered with as much purple anodising as you can get your hands on ;)

If you're going to refinish it, how about this?
