I have a pair of these, 661 Filter SPD's. Got them about 2 weeks a go. They have a little window you remove under the ball of your foot for the cleat attachment. Sole is solid as. Can walk around pretty easy but you wouldn't want to run a marathon in 'em. Am as yet to try out with spd pedals as i only have clips and straps at the moment, but the power transfer is awesome over ordinary shoes. They are very well ventilated, but trade off is they are not waterproof.
If you get a pair order 1/2 to 1 euro size above your normal size. The fit is tight. Even with doing this when i first got them I nearly sent them back as my toes were still squeezed a bit, but given they have a leather upper it does give & stretch and now they fit great.
