It's not illegal to have racist thoughts, but the moment you act on them, it becomes illegal. Strictly speaking, if you denied someone entry to your party, specifically on the grounds of their race, that would be illegal.
Vou probably wouldn't be charged, as there are far bigger things for the police and CPS to be dealing with, but again, no less illegal.
