Hey! I'm another newbie. I moved to London a month ago from Brighton and I am in dire need of a nice single speed. I'm pretty small (5'4/5'5) and I have a limited budget but if anyone wants to help me out, or would be into helping me build something that won't cost the earth to begin with I'd be incredibly grateful. This is me and my (i.e my housemates) cat:

I live in Kingsbury, so I think youre thinking about Alperton route to shepherd bush? I could be wrong, and definitely would like to check it out, perhaps come out with me? -

That's a brillant tip, and serves me right for not looking at any bike routes (in my defense I havent got my bike yet :P) Thanks, will investigate that one, I believe I know which one you're on about, it passes Park Royal/Harlesden, to ladbroke etc

Thats the one yes, just hold your nose when you pass the processed food factories of Park Royal and its a good ride!

Hey Rosie, east Drinks is walking distance from Roman Road (I live there too). If you aren't shy and want to chat bikes come along on Wednesdays.
Small bikes are not that often sold on here as it is mostly blokes who sell, but you may get an old racer on ebay and convert. Again, drinks would be a good place to ask questions. Or search the forum for threads with "conversion" "beginner" ... in the title.
