I've seen so many of these cranks cracking (many Strada).
Used then with a small crack or rounded the edge a bit with a small round file.
Never saw a case that the crack went any deeper or that the crank broke.
I 've had several other cranks broken though, all from different types.
When such a Campag crank fails, it's at the logo or another engraved marking (e.g. type, crank length indication, etc).
