They are easy to make.
You need:
- A scalpel.
- A of 3-5mm thick leather (about 40p from a shoe repairer)
- 20 mins.
Cut 2 pieces of leather 70mm x 50mm.
Then cut 4 slots like below. They work as a brace on doublestraps too (like Kashimax sell with their doubles).

not sure what GN is but 14 have plastic 4 gate clips for 14.99.

gold nuggets jimbo. i'm talking about the 2-gate metal ones. 4-gate metal would be pretty sweet tho - they have those too?
EDIT: that's 2-gate as in 1 for each strap, stacked vertically; not stacked horizontally if you get me.

Blb
Ignore me. I just looked about 7 posts up! -

BLB do the Soma metal 4 Gate clips, which are shit, mine lasted 3 months rusted and then snapped, 14 may have 4 gate metal ones, but personally I wouldn't recommend them, i'm currently rocking the 4 gate PLASTIC clips, which is 2 gates for each strap, I have found them to be very durable so far, and my bike has had plenty of abuse since I have been in ownership of them ;).
I know the 2 gate ones you're talking about they have them in 14 as well, MKS make them. -

After a long internet search I'm starting to feel lucky that a friend gave me some double nylon straps a few years ago. I was looking for some in white but I think I'll be happy with what I've got!

is there a double_strap cage//clip' that exists, made by *MKS &or is *NJS approved/?
+(AE. not soma or all city)

i was going to post that keirin racers probably used clipless pedals, but then thought i'd check out some photos. weirdly, they don't! anyone know why?
single straps only though. why do you need njs cages?
i have some chrome doublestrap cages that i bought from 14. they look pretty much identical to the mks ones, except for the additional strap holder.

Doesn't all the equipment have to conform to some rules drawn up in the seventies? I think that's the reason they have no deep section wheels or aerodynamic frames.

is their an advantage (aside from -weight) for the above racers to have partial grip coverage on drops/. all of them are doin' it and i see it on the street as well/? is it a rule/?

clipless pedals were around in the 70s though, no?

they only use the ends of their bars. and yeah only a few slip-on rubber grips are njs-approved

Teddy, I think they use clipless pedals, with a strap on top, for double security

By the way, are these guys sweaty or do they put baby oil on their legs?
-
• #49
probably they had been warming up for an hour in the rollers

looks like sweat, the summer temps and humidity can be very high in japan, as much as 37degrees (assuming it's summer that is).
Cadence Clothing sell them for a price, it's pretty useful when you want to run a double strap on a single strap cage and pedal.
