Is it cool if I meet you guys in Whitechapel? Only I'm gonna be coming down to Liverpool Street on the train so it seems silly riding down the same road I'd be riding up later (also I don't know London roads well).

Not really fair holding you all up so I could just join straight in on Whitechapel Highstreet? ..or thereabouts?

If everyone's meeting at the Brick Lane polo court then I very much doubt we'll be heading down to Whitechapel High Street. I imagine the ride will go from the court, down Bethnal Green/Roman Road and then pick the route up from Grove Road. You may as well ride down to the court from Liverpool St - it's less than 5mins away. Or you PM me if you need/want someone to escort you there.

I'm in. Call me fucking stupid but which is the brick lane polo court, is it the one next to tatty divine and the wood laminating place?
Did the brighton ride geared but feel its time to rack up some fixed milage as well. Will hopefully bring the missus as well but it'll be twice her longest distance so far so maybe not.
Long sunny slow rides with bift and beer ftw. Although will avoid getting quite as wrecked before the off as on the brighton ride, didn't feel too bad til i started sweating the booze out a few hours in. yummy.

oh, and will there be cards? sad i know but i'm becoming a proper spoke card whore at the moment...

^^^Essential long distance equipment, as is the headset bottle opener. Was a fucking arse having to reach into the rear pannier for beer though. Gonna rig up one of those insulated lunch cooler things as a handlebar bag for future beer rides. Much more convenient.
Also some kind of handlebar mounted fag lighter could be in order....

How about some kind of cooled camelbak? Or if you've got an Ale you can just have it at room temperature..

Get a front rack and mount the Kegerator

I might rig up a fine cocktail for the camelbak, maybe the classic rum, dash of amaretto and tropical lucozade. Cos lucozade makes you faster....
Ale could be a problem as the road vibrations could cause the sediment to rise resulting in a nasty mid-ride yeast based toilet fail. Gotta plan for the worst on these long rides dontchaknow ;)

clearly for the best to get the horse and cart to shift the kegs then :)

I've had a sore throat and loads of phlegm in the mornings for about a week now. Swine flu?! Really?! Ah well. Better off getting it now than when it mutates into a killer.
