seriously, my first post got flamed when i joined here (it was "i have so much money to spend on a bike, what should i get" type thing)
I survived and am still here, I also learned pretty quickly from my mistakes (some may dispute this). You learn pretty quickly that this is a fairly robust place in terms of the content and also what can look like to people having a spat can frequently be close friends having a laugh
being grilled here is not the worst thing, but if it puts you off then possibly this is not the home for you, there are heavily moderated forums for more sensible/sensitive souls
also if we were always nice to people my popcorn thread would be empty
