Planning new wheel build, how many spokes?

Planning on building myself up a set of nice wheels for my good fixie. Probably DA high flange hubs and CXP33's or the similar and aero speed spokes. Should I go for 32 or 36 spokes though? Im not very heavy, say 12 stone, but the roads I ride on are pretty badly surfaced with no real choice of a smooth line.

Are there any other advantages/disadvantages to each apart from the obvious weight/stiffness ones?

You weigh not much! Go as low spoke count as you want, 32h sounds fine, you could go lower if they were available but they aren't.

I would suggest a minimum of 8.5 and a can of UTFS applied to the nipples.

the ideal is 28. lace both front and back radially. don't use brass nipples, they suck. and if you like to roll brakeless, loosen the spokes at the back off a little bit, it gives you better skidding power.
