the way its going to be massive in western countries, that can laugh about african babies being swapped for i- pods because thats what theyre worth.

the way that it demeans every 'issue' it raises,lowering to lowest common denominator humour, whilst cynically playing up the edginess to easily shocked people who find swearing/sex uncomfortable.

also, the hype machine bugs me, the way critics will just love it.

Jason I think you are missing the point... The whole point of Cohen stuff is that he is showing up stupid people/bigoted people for who they really are. Like this guy ....

Same with Ali-G, the character is based on the satire of modern commercial hip hop and in particular Tim Westwood and Puff Daddy/P Diddy. Ali-G character is dead on the middle class White Kid who desperately wants to be some sort of kick arse "Black Gangsta".

Bruno is exactly the same ... My sister goes to the clothes show, watches "America's Next Top Model" and buys Magazines like Heat and Closer. Having read some of the bollox that is associated with that world. Bruno pulls off the satire perfectly (probably a satire on Gok Wan and the like).
