Been working on this for a while now, and it's been a cursed project i'm sure. Every time i thought i was nearly done something didn't fit, snapped or the problem i have now threaded the rear hub! So it's pretty much finished apart from needing a new hub and decent pedals. It turned out a little more hipster than i originally planned but i think i'm happy with it.
If anyone can help with the MASSIVE picture that would be great, can't figure it out!
http://static.londonfgss.com/memberpics5803-albums496-picture3892.jpgNick, it's looking super-mega-rad!
Good luck getting the rear hub sorted.

Just finished my new bike a few days ago, pretty happy with the way it turned out.
Nice to see you've done the frame justice Alex. That is bang on. I dropped some stuff off at max's place the other day, he said you'd got it finished. Congrats!
I feel so proud to have supplied the frames for a couple of really nice builds on the past couple of pages...
hey chris, why not post your chesini?? haha

The first prototype of the giant turd torpedo saddle bag is finished....strapped to my brooklyn and loaded with a sh*tload of clothes just for testing purposes...although i've got no time to make another now even if it hadn't worked as i want to take it easy tomorrow before dunwich.
I'm sure there will be the usual critics questioning "why not just use racks and panniers"...but i'm really happy with this setup. Couple of changes i want to make on the second version, but for now i'm well happy :)Looks like a large animal has done a massive poo all over your bike, after eating a reindeer. In the best possible way. It definitely looks fit for it's purpose though, enjoy the dynamo and good to bump into you and tricity today!

Thanks, and thanks again for the frame, doing me really well so far. Yeah Max mentioned that, might have to have a little look through your goodie bag, hehe.

I'm interested in knowing how Scott's chocolate donkey does tonight for the DD because of the handlebar set up, and if it was definitely worth putting it there.

Since my good friend mr alexander batchelor just posted his bike i thought it was about time i upped my game and posted mine.
This was my first home build, which will no longer be in my possesion due a need for cash, unfortunately.
And my newest edition, which is what i need the money for!

Billybob, what tyres are on that Milano?
-
• #12362
they should definately make scots bike standard issue to the army, that thing looks like it could run over and iron bar and just crush it, sick.

Vittoria Rallys, tubulars, great wheelset, just not all that practical.

Know a decent set of gum-walled clinchers? No more than about £20 a tyre.

i know of the panracers, they had some down in edwardes not long ago, quite a deep tread on them, but alex had some cheapo michelin gum walls and got a rip in his tyre after about 2 months or something. So good quality ones are few and far between, definately check out the panasonic panracers tho!

Panaracer Pasela TG to be specific, come in plenty of size from 23c, 25c, 28c etc.
The Pasela are a touring tyres and the TG is puncture resistance, but frankly if it is a touring tyres, they're usually puncture-resistance enough without needing extra melted condom on the tyres.

Not the Panasonic RibMo Panaracers?
I bought two of those from Edwardes back in February, each one lasted 3 weeks.

Pair of Panaracer Paselas look good to me, less than £40 a set online too.

Phase 1 fixed.
Phase 2 - A machined v to match ordered for the front.. Phase 3 - Then need to decide which crankset is going to look alright - a super modern one would look gash i reckon. Sawed the bars off to make bulls in a rash moment so may try to put the drops back.

Not forgetting your toe clips/power straps/spd's/any form of foot retention.
I quite like your wheels as they are, deep and non-machined at the back, you're not running a rear brake so no need for a machined surface...
...and the opposite on the front where you are running a brake.
Makes sense to me, serving a purpose.

yep, i know - and its annoying - these pedals wont take a toe clip and i like them. could just have a strap?

Not advisable, power grips are the only alternative i know of, heard mixed reviews of them, felt a bit too slack when i tried them. Just buy a pair of MKS Sylvans, cheap, good looking and do the job. Put some single toe straps or doubles (i am lusting over doubles atm) and enjoy stopping safely.

oh and cheers to ed for putting me right, i knew something sounded wrong. :)
Lovely, only thing I'd do is match the bartape to the straps, beautiful frame btw.
