Death of a Loyalist Randonneur.
My main aims was to try and wear the tyres as much as possible since I got an extra Randonneur in a buy one get one free offer, might as well have a little experiment starting from the 9th April, and finally popped it's raw anus this morning near Waterloo on the 3rd of July.
I have a little trip computer hidden away and it show that I've done 2,021 miles since April, so it managed to held out 2,021 miles in 4 months worth of skidding (on 19 skid patches);
if you burn throught the red layer, you're pretty much running on fumes from then on, it could easily take one skid to burn a hole in the tyres, or take forever to.
