my dad got us a betamax when i was a kid, eventually it stopped working though but it still sat there for about another 10 years, despite its massive size, cos it had a huge digital clock, so we could all tell the time. now sadly it has gone, there is an analogue clock on the fire place but the face is so small you can't read the hands but doesn't really matter cos it always tells the wrong time anyway.

Don't doubt it, I used to use my grandfathers betamax as a fortress base for lego.

My dad was refusing to let the video recorder to be removed from the living room. So one day, I took it out, and put it in my room, under my bed. He's none wiser. The fucker doesnt record shit on dvd's anyway despite asking for one for his birthday!
