what is UTFS ? Use The F Search ?
Not sure if it is me being an idiot but if someone in the last week saw an offer for a good deal I am keen to know where, if that deal does not exist then at least I am not missing out.
Not trying to be a pain in the arse but there is potentially a ton difference in the price.

I'd be surprised if there was much variation in price brand new from reputable sellers. Margins aren't great so there's no reason to heavily discount them. Your best bet is to badger your employer to get signed up for Ride2Work or Cyclescheme.

That ton is the difference between it being worth buying and not being worth buying IMO - and I've got one :-) I love mine, but at £500 there is just too much choice of better bikes 2nd hand.

Hi i'm new here, I got my Charge Plus yesterday. Been commuting for a while on a DMR transition. 13' frame, no fun. Alot of folks on here talk about the weight of it but hey coming from an MTB background its not really an issue to me. feels light enough. I love riding this bike. Fixed is the way forward! Go get yourself one!

I've noticed on a few different sites selling these that the bars look different depending on whos selling. Is that true or are my eyes deceiving me? Im wanting to buy one of these but those bars posted first dont look too comfortable. But these look alright? confusedhttp://www.wiggle.co.uk/images/charge-plugracer09-zoom.jpg

that Plug Racer is likely to be the early model before they introduced the major taylor style handlebar, a little bit of a shame because I do think that the Plug Racer would be a great bike if it got those bar in picture and those classic brake levers designed for drop bar.

ahh i see. that pic is from Wiggle. sent them an email asking them if they have the bike with those bars. hope so. -

Don't think so, all you'll get is those major taylor style one, this is from the Wiggle's description of the Plug Racer;
Charge drop bars and plunger grips

i find the bars a little uncomfortable . I am thinking to change them to mini risers...
-
• #591
no it's not, it's understandable why it's uncomfortable if you're riding on the top nearly all the time, why don't you check out bullhorn bar as well as flat bar?
if you like the drop part but don't like the curve on the top of the bar, check out other kind of drop bar that have a straighter top allowing more room to rest your hand.

i meant with the way the metal would be wet. if it's for the track, (presumably as its called racer) then why brakes? if its for the road, why not bartape?
some one at charge is making a lot of £££ tho.

i got soma major taylors on my flyer. very purdy they are too. got them from an ebay shop in edinburgh called "white custard" who were cheap, prompt and friendly.

I liked the look of the bars, but took them off as soon as I realized how uncomfortable they are. I use cut down risers much more comfortable and I think go better with the rest of the bike.
If anyone wants the OG bars they can have them, no charge, I am moving and getting rid of collected bike parts is one of those things I have to do! -

I have the Plug Racer bars (from Tea Bee), and there's no question that the tops and sides are uncomfortable compared with the drops, which are really nicely positioned. but they are not so bad. I ride mine 20 miles a day and it's ok.
They are 25mm by the way so you need shims or a track stem.

Works for me, I've yet to actually go to Souths so will be a good opportunity to do that too. I'll be there at about 7ish.
It means s/he UTFS'ed and posted in a relevant existing thread and didn't create a new one.
That's good, no?
