@Balki: i've been using this as a waredrobe and more recently as a bike rack - there are holes to secure with screws (as I initially did) but nowadays I don't screw into the ceiling. rubber pads either end and an extension bolt at the bottom to get the correct pressure. I have moved a few times and for the last few years have never had an issue without screwing it in.
also - rather than leather or foam to cover the hook, I just cut a section of old inner tube and used that to protect bikes.
and one last little part of advice - been using it as a bike rack for 6mths or so, but just have one hook per bike - centred on the top tube. no problem thus far...
however I think i have heard someone say that you shouldn't fully support your bike from the centre of the top tube - it not being the strongest section. any advice?
