James - you shouldn't feel responsible, dude. You were plenty clear with directions. Like you said - peeps just got caught in the charge. I, for one, was guilty of that. I really ought to familiarise myself with the route more before setting off. Trouble is when it's dark, your eyes are constantly scanning the roads for pot holes and you're going at a fair clip it's easy to lose track of where you are and all you can do is follow the person in front.
We need Hope to supply marshals and signage for route directions...
