2.7kg for a bare frame (no headset cups) is quite heavy, but very common.
The standard weight for Reynolds 501 is 2.4kg and 531c is 2.05kg.
It depends on the frame size as well, I have two "old" frames (64cm) made from standard plain gauge steel tubing and they are 3.0 kg and 3.2kg. My 64cm 531 frame is 2.2kg.
2.7kg will be ok for training.
