Stopping at Gatwick after about 30 miles or so. Again, Brighton is very close and the ride is short--only 55-60 miles depending on route, so no need to worry about food that much. M&S and other food shops will be open at Gatwick.

i am gonna use 42:16 with 165 cranks which is around 69. have done l2b on this before and it works for me. not sure i will make it up db and i do need the front brake on a few descents... will be especially true in the dark!

i think you're right 69 is decent for a longish distance. i rode about 30 miles on it in america and about 10 miles of it were hills

double fixed... no brakes... literally i sold it to tomasito a few monthes ago

what's the plan when we get there?

spend the rest of the day on the beach, getting sun tan, swimming, drinking red wine and play a bit of football....then ride back.

I fell in love with a girl called Josephine once. She played me like a toy then cast me to the curb but it was worth it god dammit, it was worth it.

I'm in no rush to get back so I'm happy to kip on the beach if it's sunny. Where's Dropout buggered orf to?

For those who want to meet east before, we were thinking 11 outside mcdonalds on the concourse on Liverpool street. That's down the side of the station not on Bishopsgate. Will pm those who were keen with my number and vice versa.

You called? Being a slave to Mamon- that's me. Really do fancy this ride, with the possibility of the ride back as Dunwich prep. However this will be after a ten-hour work day on Saturday, so put me down as a 'definitely maybe'.
