My cultural abyss, as you term it, also means that I have no idea who the Truman family of Eastenders are.

Pity Mozart and Shakespeare, neither of whom knew of Michael Jackson either. If Michael Jackson and Eastenders are your idea of culture, I suspect I am well away from it.

MJ is firmly part of popular culture, care to define your notion of culture? If you despise popular culture then I recommend you step the fuck away from this forum, or at least keep away from the dead 'celebrity' threads.

As to quoting my other posts, read them first buddy. I loath much that is on telly, but I like to spend time with my wife so I put up with it.
