They are actually the original decals from when it was resprayed a few years ago - you can't really see in these photos but the paintwork is actually chipped/scratched quite badly and decals are a bit knocked in places. One side of the seat tube was properly coming off, so I just removed the rest with my fingernail - that's why you can't see a logo on the right hand side yellow bit on the top pic. Unfortunately that means the top layer of lacquer has gone too, but it looks ok.
I'm torn between getting it restored properly (and getting some decals from Neil, he can supply) and just leaving it - the paint job (by C&G in Liverpool, as it says on the top tube) is beautiful, it's just a bit worn, and the chips/scratches and the 'PAINTWORK BY C&G Finishes' on the top tube give it character and reflect the history of the bike... Plus a respray would mean being without it for a while, which would be bad.
I'm just going to ride it for the moment :)
