Love it. Shame about the spok, but still a super tight bike.

Have sent off a price match to Cycle Store. Wiggle can't give me a date for delivery as Ritchey can't tell them!
I don't mind waiting but don't know if we're talking weeks/months? ah well, patience is a virtue :) -

Nope.

Wow, very nice even with the 'spoke. It just looks so clean and tight, ace.

I think that bike looks awesome. And i still take gulity pleasure from a well placed spok. Think that one looks great with the build!

I also really like the look of the radial. I just don't think i'd want to ride radial on the streets. Having never owned a radial wheel, i don't know just how they compare in strength to a 3X. But i do know that constantly riding over really shitty roads has an effect on my 3X wheels, which are pretty well built, and i wouldn't want to be continually truing them if they/the front was radial.

@plagiarist - this is still the benchmark though...:)
Very nice. But it needs black track nuts :)

New bike/project.. It will most probably get a new paintjob (dark purple) and my own wheels with black rims, and some decals for Transformers G1-project..:) Thought it'd be nice to have a theme..
270£, don't know if it's a good price or not but importing stuff to Norway sucks due to customs, and the frame has Columbus tubing..Wheels are Weinmann deep v's I think, looks like it by the decals..

Kill it? As in, repaint?
-
• #11568
Yes ... I dunno how "unique" that bike is but it has a pretty good paint job on there considering it is about 25-35 years old and looks quite nice (I would buy something like that myself). All the kit on it looks pretty decent and well looked after.
If you need any convincing go back a few pages in this thread and see the bike that was killed by doing exactly the same thing you are suggesting. Most forumengers will have the same opinion... I believe and refer to this practice as puppy killing.
-
• #11569
Puppy killing is taking a decent road frame, and turning it into a fixed gear/single speed. Or at least that's what i thought it was. Anyway, don't repaint it. Looks like a sexy well looked after paint jobs as is.

Maybe I was mistaken.

@Lucas: Haha! :P I think this puppy is already slaughtered..It used to be a road bike, but now it's a fixie..
The kit isn't all original, but it has good parts (MKS pedals, Campy cranks, headset & brake, mavic hubs etc)..
Now I'm starting to hesitate about the repaint! I want it to be abit more "personal", but I guess I can to that with my tiny pug Galibier frame.. -

Well at least this hasn't happened to it...

A project that never was. I bought this Dave Davey frame on eBay and I wasn't happy with it so it had to go back. I wonder if anyone on here ever took it and built it up?

no, only zaffiros go cream. Rubinos go a little grey but will come up reasonable with soapy water. no idea about the others.
