You Tube Help Plz!

I cant play any vids on youtube, there is no play button showing, this isnt on just some vids, but all vids.

If I click a link to youtube ( say from the music thread) it goes through and works fine- play button is there, but my individual searches produced no play buttons.

I use mozilla but have tried different browsers without luck, Im using version 10 flash player.

any ideas to help?

Having the same problem with some videos too, just try refreshing or going back later? Best thing is to have a cup of tea and stay calm.

I notice it happening a week ago with a few selected vids, but last 2 days its all vids, Ive rebooted/refreshed and nothing...

all calm here... :)

strange, they work if you copy n paste them onto the forum but not from youtube's page...

have you tried updating the flash player?

the youtube website could be having lags

I checked and I have version 10 which is the latest ( as far as Im aware? )

yeah, if several people have the same problem i don't see anything else that could be wrong than just youtube is having lags. (mine works fine by the way)

noticed it a week ago on several odd tunes, now its every single tune :/ damn frustrating

I've had the problem mostly on ufc videos and some music. Give it half hour after a couple of refreshes, only thing you can do until Youtube pulls its finger out.

I havent been able to access any music vids for 2 days, news vids seems ok, done all the above, like you say, it must be their end and Ill just have to wait it out :/

I had this a while back. Re-installed the flash player (even though I'm fairly sure I was using the most up to date version) and it worked fine. I think it was a problem with firefox though because they worked fine in Safari. Control browser ftw.

Your laptop is fucked! It has been fucked for about 2 years now! Why don't you just put it to rest and buy a NEW one like I've been telling you for the past 2 years??

its nothing to do with my laptop, its a site issue but thanks for your savvy input.

I've found a problem like this when the tmp file flash created cloggfed up my system. Check your /tmp folder and clear all the flash stuff out.

Re-installing flash sounds as if it might get somewhere--works very often in Windows.

Failing that, some kind of virus?

Ive done all recommended procedures above incl reboots etc... just reinstalling flash now

I have this after firefox has been running for more than a few days without restarting the process. Kill the process ... failing that.

Reinstall Flash, clean the temporary files out, restart browser and restart it properly by killing the process in Windows.

ok, emptied temp files , made no difference, reinstalling flash now. will report back in a min

sorry, Im not overly pc literate... how do I run it with addons disabled?

firefox will likely not be in her path and it won't work.

Start Menu > Programs > Mozilla Firefox > Mozilla Firefox (Safe Mode)
