with a geared bike like me, yes. going fixed would have been madness [it is my aim though, during the day, first]
i was suffering loads on the hills and was pretty scared to go downhill. i guess that i have to get used to it. it was my first time on a geared bike and i was scared of changing gears. i did the cambersands fixed last year but i can't compare.
