He's just done that on purpose to piss me off. I'm going to hack into the KCH mainframe and schedule him for an 18 hour enema.

  • you'll be missed stompy but better to heal up good and proper mate.

  • Frankly that is two too many. But I'll let it slide.

I've even got so far in my preparations for this ride as to consider which type of non-cow Haribo I'll be bringing. I'm thinking Gummy Bears and some of those sour ones. hmmm

    Tangfastics FTW

  • Can we start the parenthesis versus bracket wars yet?

Not before wibble signals his unconditional surrender or gritted-teeth determination to fight on in the other conflict. We can't have two wars going on at the same time.

  • I'll even forgive the emoticon, it'll be nice to have the ability to eat Haribo again when I'm out cycling. Haven't done that in many many years.

I'd better check with the Vegan Society first, as Vegetarian Society approval doesn't mean that they're vegan. But it's a good step in any case.

I'm rising above Oliver. I haven't actually touched the list other than to edit some information and don't really care about an underline enough to force it upon others.

  • OK, the brackets vs. parentheses war is ON!

  • Clarnico Mint Cream FUCK THE WORLD

  • mhhh really really tempted.
can I get coach tickets when Im there or do i have to get them before?

  • I think Southwark Cyclists will be selling coach tickets back in Viccy Park on the day, £25, but check the website as I'm basically picking words and numbers and throwing them onto the page in no particular order.

  • EDIT: you can book on the website now.

If you can ride another 30 miles, Gina (hope you'll have recovered well by then), I recommend riding on to Ipswich.

  • Although don't stay there too long, it's a shithole. not really, people of Ipswich!

  • I was born in Ipswich and lived around 15 miles from it for most of my life.. Like almost every other large town/city these days it has some really lovely parts but unless you *have *to search them out, because you hate the place so much but live so close, you'll never find them..

  • I'd better check with the Vegan Society first, as Vegetarian Society approval doesn't mean that they're vegan. But it's a good step in any case.
Don't worry, I've already emailed to see if they have any opinions, I know that Haribo have (and possibly still do) used animal derived e numbers too.

I'll let you know what I find out.

  • I was in Ipswich last night! Yes what wibble says - by the dock is nice.

Oliver - you think it's worth going there then getting the train?

  • P.s. Sorry Jonny

Okay, let me state very clearly:

[ ] These are brackets and are to be used in mathematical equations.
( ) These are parenthesis and can be used both in written English or for mathematical equations.

British schools lie to their students during their maths lessons, they teach students to remember the order of workings for a particular sum using the phrase "BODMAS".
Bracket, of, division, multiplication, addittion & finally subtraction.

This is correct as per the rules of maths but there is one glaring problem.
Every maths I have ever met uses parenthesis instead of brackets.

I hate you maths teachers, you're destroying one of my great passions with your inability to be consistent.

Please either start using brackets or starts calling it PODMAS. It's your choice but it will be your fault when I eventually snap and start a killing spree.

    Your turn Mr. Schick

  • The trains that go from Norwich through Ipswich to Liverpool street usually have a dedicated bike carriage at the back that could fit maybe 30 bikes.. The smaller ones on the Lowestoft line only have proper space for 4 but given the amount of cyclists and dependant on the time you get to Ipswich station I'd imagine they'd let more on in the carriages

parenthesis are a subset of brackets.
