There was a shitty MTB locked just round the corner over the weekend with a D lock and one of those Kryptonite cables to protect the quick release front wheel, they just snipped the cable and took the front wheel, just a crap basic mountain bike wheel, almost don't know why they bothered.

it's simple, there's a LOTS of people locking their bike through their front wheel only leaving the frame exposed, all that left is simply getting a front wheel for the stolen bike.

secondly, they're worth a tenner or two to sell.
