If it IS a Merckx then it's very different to mine...mine is fully lugged and has totally different dropouts...but that means nowt really.
Nice frame though whatever :) -

Really unsure how the sizing would work on a lo-pro.
My road bike has a 57.5cm top tube with a fairly long stem, the fixed is a 61cm top tube with a shorter stem.
What would this mean in the world of lo-pro?

That seems like a lot.

point being that Max is a happy man, and we were just talking last night about him getting a frame that actually fits him instead of having that scaffolding post of a seat post that he's using at the mo.

ok, my bad, I thought I got properly lucky when I won the frame the other week. and was told of how much it could fetch. In hindsight £450 is way off the mark.
Would dropping the price by 100 notes make anyone more interested? That's what I was willing to pay for it when it was up on ebay.

in all honesty mate selling it for more than what you paid for it
to people who discovered the link
is just cheeky
very very cheeky -
• #21
If you bought it for £230 & have done nothing to it; sell it for £230.

• #22
xactly

also no proof other than word of mouth it's an Merckx... so if it is a Merckx, it might as well not be.
But ye, a lot of dorra for what ?£250 +/- to cover postage and whatnot seems fair.
£350 is a blatant piss take, as gogosoma already said and explained.

Sorry guys but i don't agree at all.
Sure, you know how much he paid for it...and he's done nothing to it, and maybe nobody on here thinks it's worth it.
BUT...
If somebody manages to be lucky enough to buy a bike for a good price, and then decides they don't want it...why shouldn't they be allowed to make a profit? If i get a bike for a bargain price...that's my lucky break....but i'm sure as hell not gonna sell it for the same price if i know i can get more.
It's exactly what Roberto, Jos, Keith...and everyone else does. For the record i think £450 IS overpriced....but it's up to Milo how much he charges...and if he doesn't sell it then he can drop the price if HE decides...which he just has.

I presume like me people have pm'ed the seller to be told the price.. but not sure why it has to then be made public in a "surely that's too pricey" kind of way... maybe he can try and get what he wishes to for it? the price will only come down if it's too much for everyone. While I was disappointed that it was my size but so much more than I could afford, in my opinion the mug ain't the one trying to sell something at a price, it's the one who buys it.. mugs have hiked the market even more than the law of supply and demand would have recently and in this way I've seen tons of dreams fade in the past year as a ton of mugs out there happily splash way over what they should for things - I ain't a mug, I ain't even got money to be a mug, so that's the way it goes.
But let's not try and berate someone for trying to sell something - berate the mugs for spoiling it for everyone else. And if you start doing that you need to look round at, I imagine, at least a quarter of the people on the forum. For my money a lot of what some of the "boutiques" are charging (and I won't say which ones spring to mind cos that wouldn't be fair) is way over what people should be happy to pay, but there you go.
60cm LoPro Frameset
Sorry to see this one go but alas it is too big for me. Gutted.
Bought it a few weeks back and I believe it is an Eddy Merckx track pursuit frame.
It doesn't have any markings to verify so I cannot be certain but the last owner assured me of its provenance. It might have the serial no. under BB but I haven't investigated.
Built it up to show the overall profile of the frame but you'll need lower profile tyres as there is no front end clearance see photo. (img.06)
The tubes are oval with polished braised joints, super smooth.
Steel 60cm Low Profile Track Frame and x 2 Forks
Seat Tube 60cm C to C
Top Tube 60cm C to C
The frame is Columbus Speed-Stream Tubing
Also included are:
Narrow 80mm forks
Tange Aero Headset - minus bearings (could possibly find them!)
Shimano 600 Seat Post, inc. clamp (not pictured)
Campagnolo Pista Bottom Bracket
Good condition overall with only a few chips to the paintwork.
PM me If your interested or want to have a look at it.
cheers,
milo
