Bike noise, creak, click, creaks, clicks, clicking, pinging sound - help

I hope the WD40 was a joke, keep that shit away from your bottom bracket. Its not a lubricante and will just make the problem worse.

Had a feeling someone would be along saying that. How come it helped my situation then, to the extent that my BB went from screaming to silent, and has been so for a couple of months ever since?
