About 2 weeks ago, quite out of the blue, i set off on my bike and noticed that, when i stood sup on the pedals, there was a distinct clicking noise, once per revolution. The sound reverberates around the steel frame, as they tend to.
It seems to be when i put weight on the left pedal/crank, when it comes up to a 3/4 rear position, when it's around the same area as the chainstay.
i've tried a few things - I rebuilt the eggbeater pedals, as it needed doing, no joy.
ive serviced the drive chain - something i do regularly anyway.
i've even tightened and cleaned the saddle/seatpost, since these clicky noises often seem to come from there, even it it seems unlikely.
but the noise is still there. Could it be the BB? i've had the bike nearly 2 years, does it need servicing?
i don't know anything about BBs, really, so wouldn't know where to start.
Any thoughts on this much appreciated.
