  • When I was chef I used to dream / nightmare of cheesecakes, despite it being 12 years ince I cooked for a living, think I can remember the Cafe de Mars recipe off by heart!.....

St Moret, for those who live in France and half a small bottle of perrier...

  • Have to say I do love The Cheesecake Factory!! Couldn't give a favourite though I do love a good key lime pie ;)

Recently ate a chocolate and peanut butter cheesecake and I almost got sick... It was so dense and sweet, it was like chomping on a tube of silicon mixed with molasses...

Kind of want to have it again though... :D

  • Jesus wept! Has this thread really reached 2 pages??! :-$

  • I like a recipe with a story, and mine was passed on to me by my Jewish ex-girlfriend's mum who grew up in an Israeli kibbutz. Cheesecake consumption is mentioned in the Bible, and is therefore a Pagan tradition. Of course a cake base was originally used as you couldn't get packets of digestives back then.

The name comes from the fact that Ashkenazim means 'German Jews'.

  • Where the recipes at mo-fos?? I wanna get my cook on already!

  • I don't have any recipe's, but I know a girl who does! ;)

  • Well get rummaging dude! Dig that shit out!
