I have a noise problem from my mid 80's Raleigh Record sprint. When the left crank is all the way down or if you can imagine the arc from the bottom quarter of a circle; anywhere in there on the left, and obviously anywhere on the top quarter of the right. I broke down the bb and rebuilt it, changed the chain, tightened the rear wheel, put a wrench on everything that can be tightened, and then tightened it. The frame is 501(?) and twists when I give it reasonable amounts of torque. I am running a 52 (original chainring without the inner chainring attached)/15 ratio as well, but i think the noise is coming from the alloy chain ring, any advice would be welcome as the noise is worrying and it almost feels as if i am torquing something, feels as though there is some flex somewhere. Thanks. and Yes, I have read some other threads, but nothing seems to work.
