is there any vance of posting the route on mapmyride or something similar, im just trying to figure out what gear ratio to use as I believe there is a long hill at the end?
Jack, the OP has a link to the (approximate) route. Yes, we'll do Ditchling at the end. As Stix says, if you walk, there's no shame involved. I mean, I can hardly get up that on my geared bike (although I'm getting better). But the lovely downhill makes it all worth it. A gear ratio around 70" should work for you, although I have to say that I don't think I could make it up Ditchling on 70" myself--I always go lower in the gears.
There are two other hills worthy of note--Portnall's Road, off Chipstead Valley Road, and Turner's Hill.
