Conversation overheard at Wembley Park tube on Saturday:

…between a group of Chelsea fans after the game.

Fan 1 “Can’t believe how many fans Everton have brought”

Fan 2 “They were all over the place weren’t they?, loads in our end even”

Fan 1 “Out numbered us 60/40 at least”

Fan 3 “Yeah. On our fackin manna too. Norvun fackin mankies”

Which I thought was pretty funny and indicative of my point I've been making

what makes you think everton fans couldn't orate such lucid prose?
football attracts a very high proportion of imbeciles. far higher than any other sports. the way it's tribalism manifests itself is pathetic and moronic.
it's an interesting sport to watch mostly ruined by it's fans.
