For the 2012 Olympics, we should hire out HH Velodrome and run unlicensed events for all the one absent from the womens list. Admittedly the money pot would be pretty low but at least the principle would be made and some of the T-shirts and spoke cards would have to be worth a mint by then.

That is a fucking AWESOME idea. I am fully with you on that one. Properly advertised, you'd get loads of coverage!
