Oliver - often I see you as a nearly-naturalised/civilised Brit. Often, but not always. There are certain traditions that are part of the very fabric and backbone of these Isles and about which you are quite ignorant. The sport of putting cycle clips around your ankles and depositing a ferret down your trousers for as long as you can stand it, is obviously one of them.
You live and learn.

I just couldn't help but picture the ferret running around once off the leash and going up someone's trouser leg in panic (rather than being put down it).

Hmmm, I think I'll go and blame the builders who are just rebuilding my entire bathroom. Yes, I think that'll do. Sorted. ;)

Will they be making it DDA compliant?

Will they be making it DDA compliant?
No. Buildings can't really be 'DDA compliant', as the law applies to service providers (they have to be compliant, not the buildings). But a building can certainly meet guidance, such as AD M or BS8300.

Would you be able to recommend them to me if they do a good job? Our "friendly" builder is being as flakey as anything, and obviously has far too much money to consider any work being thrown his way.
I'll wait until they're finished and will PM you then with overall conclusions. :)

My cat got me a birthday present... 1 dead mouse at the bottom of the stairs.

FFS, will it be "compliant" if I push your head down your newly installed toilet and flush? ;)

I've been looking after my friend's cat for months now since he moved to London. It's possibly the ugliest, most deranged cat in the world. My friend bought him a wind-up toy mouse but whenever the cat saw the mouse move he'd throw up. Everytime.

Hahaha I genuinely lol'd at that.
With regards to designer pets, the Skinnypig is where it's at.

My brother's cat spent the summers with me and my parents at our little beach cabin. She would walk to people's towels and they would go "aaaawwww, look sooo cute" (a cat on a beach is quite rare), she would start digging the sand up and with all the dignity in the world emptied her bowels.
She would also go fishing for little crabs and watched the tide come in. She also gave birth to four kittens on my pillow.

I saw a kid walking down Chancery Lane a few weekends back with a ferret on a lead, WTF?
I can imagine some patrick wolf wannabe doing that. Big hair?

I was just squeezing a lump between my cat's shoulder blades. Turns out it was an abscess. I only found out after my face got covered in cat pus. True story.

Ha ha, @theteleflorist that is spot on, I bet he was 14 and from Surrey.
I was in Rome a while ago and saw a woman with a goose on a lead. It wasn't practical.
