  • I think Bobby Dids is a midget, if you catch my drift...

    Really?

  • Turn off your midget radar for once in your life, you fat freak.

  • I think Bobby Dids is a midget, if you catch my drift...

Obviously I don't. It should be pretty obvious that subtlety or irony are entirely lost on me. If you wish to convey a message to me (perhaps you don't)it's best done in nice, simple english. Otherwise your your bon mot is wasted, like pearls scattered before swine.

Hippy, certain parts of my anatomy could be considered diminuitive, does that count? If so, let's hook up.

Taste my cider vinegar nuts you pasty bastard :P

    Now, back to midget hunting..

Hmm.. I kinda need the whole package.
Send photos and I'll decide if we should go further..

  • a single speed wobbler crashed into me from behind this morning (he was on what looked like a rather nice shop 14 bike in a yellowy green)

despite being on flat pedals he proceeded to fall to the ground

i was going to give him a hand back up but he started shouting at me so i thought it best to make a move on - it has made me realise that shouting at every idiot on the road possibly does not endear myself to other road users

so the public are learning but the cyclists are getting worse

  • Did you shout back?

  • i did point out that he had run into the back of me

the funny thing was it all happened at about 5mph, approaching a junction - he did not even have the excuse of unclipping or getting out of straps

  • so you did not call him a fupping twunt? man, you've changed... :o

  • he was also sexually frustrated.. you should have locked up and given him one.. for all of us

  • he called me a cnut first, i could not be bothered to argue, no defence really

  • whoa, chilled out DJ. no way.

Pip - have you found "the moon" yet?

  • still looking man, its a tough one as it wont stay still..
can you name the third face in that cuban flag???

  • hey hey hey don't forget about Che...

I got called a 'Fucking Idiot' by a MTB nodder the other day. Coming up to a red light in the middle(ish) of the lane I slowed up moving into the green cyclist bit and drifted in towards the curb slowly as I passed the stop line... then just out of the corner of my eye I saw a MTBer screaming to a halt almost running into the back of me. I didn't see him at all and did drift into his path, but I kinda don't think I should have to look out for people trying to undertake me at speed to RLJ across a busy junction. There is no doubt I am a fucking idot sometimes but that time I don't really think I was in the wrong, or was I?

  • It sounds like the public are learning and some of the people on this forum are shite cyclists.

  • ^^ is that directed at me perchance?

  • More people on bikes = more dodgy moves.

Don't fret.. they could be in cars.

  • shame, i'd have settled for a bounty.. dark

    Racist!

I got exactly the same on the approach to the top of Waterloo Bridge, coming across that pavement bit from Covent Garden. You leave the pavement on a green light, cross the road and meet a red at the top of the bridge about thirty yards from where you started. So I get a green, I take off fastest, push across the road, then stop pedalling and cruise up to the lights to stop (cos I is good like dat). Suddenly a voice over my shoulder says "In a daze are we..?" I look to my left and see a 40-odd Kensington housewife on a Pashley or similar, cravatte, perfect hair, no helmet. I look confused, so she repeats herself, "In a bit of a daze were we..?" with a patronising half-smile. So, still a bit confused about what she meant, I calmly said, "No. I was cruising up to a red light, moving over to the left - as you should do - and wasn't expecting anybody to be undertaking me on the inside in the last twenty feet before the stop line." The smug look dropped off her face, just as the lights went green, so I shot off and that was that.

Undertaking people approaching reds is dumb. End of. If you're going to RLJ, you know you have to be on the OUTside.

muvaa fukers act like they forgot about Che!

They are white on the inside.. thats what counts

  • Anticipating undertakers is a key aspect of cycle training (as is, indeed, training not to undertake). It is unfortunately fairly widespread behaviour among cyclists taking a timid position close to the kerb when trailing a trained rider who follows the Highway Code.

  • And then..?

The twat drove past me today screaming that i had better watch my back as he was being prosecuted for driving without due care and attention, i laughed, wished him well and gave him the bird.

And with that, I was gone.

Yeah I agree it was probably a bit of anticipation failure on my part (the hangover didn't help) but I still don't think I deserved to called a 'fucking idiot'. Oh well, ride on...
